Homemade Hungarian Dumplings (Galuska)

Easy & delicious dumpling recipe

This is a recipe for Galuska, Hungarian Dumplings. These homemade dumplings taste delicious and are easy to make. With only three ingredients and 20 minutes, you will have a wonderful side dish to serve with your chicken paprikash. (Full disclosure...we've been known to eat these with just a little butter and salt on their own. They're that good!) 
Chicken Paprikash with Dumplings (Galuska)

Dumpling Ingredients

  • Four (4) Eggs
  • Three (3) Cups of White All Purpose Flour
  • One (1) Cup of Whole Milk or Half and Half

Homemade Dumpling Recipe

  1. Mix milk and eggs together
  2. Fold the milk and egg mixture into the flour
  3. Mix all ingredients together until is thick (sort of a gooey mess)
  4. Put the mixture onto a plate
  5. Boil water with salt in a large pot
  6. Spoon small portions of the mixture into the water (dip spoon into water after each dumpling)
  7. Cook for approximately 15 minutes or until tender (cooked through the middle)
